The Education Partnership Trust is a multi-academy trust based in Blackburn. Last year we worked with three of their schools to upgrade the sites to LED Lighting. The Education Partnership Trust are constantly seeking to drive down costs to schools and deliver best value through central purchasing so that schools can benefit from the economies of scale that being part of a MAT can bring.
We worked with the following schools: Atherton High School | The Heights Blackburn | Coal Clough Academy
The existing lighting across the sites was old fluorescent tubing, which was providing poor light quality in the learning environment. Following our initial site audits it was identified that Lighting House could drastically improve the light levels by installing bespoke energy efficient LED Lighting.
Not only would the LED lighting upgrade transform the learning environment it would drastically reduce their carbon emissions and energy costs!
The maintenance of replacing their failing fittings was costing The Education Partnership Trust a lot of money, fluorescent lamps were also becoming obsolete in the UK, making them difficult to source. Their energy prices were increasing drastically, and they needed to do something to help reduce their spending.
These were key factors that the Education Partnership Trust were keen to improve on; becoming more energy efficient, reduce their carbon footprint and savings on their energy bills.

Following installation, the schools are now benefitting from drastically improved lighting levels across the sites! As well as fantastic energy, carbon and monetary savings.

Jonathan the Finance Director for the Education Partnership Trust chose to work with Lighting House as we were priced competitively and had glowing recommendations from other schools. By upgrading the LED Lighting the schools are now more energy efficient, meaning they have more money to spend on other areas like staffing and improving the learning environment.
